Dear Instructors, students and parents, It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 2008 CTFI Western Canadian Championships, in Kamloops, BC the Tournament Capital of Canada. As host school we are looking forward to meeting all of you and building new friendships from within our Taekwon-Do family. Our tournament staff and volunteers are working hard in order to present a well-organized event for all competitors to enjoy, and look forward to your help in running a smooth and professional event. The rules for competition are the official ITF rules. In order for this event to run smoothly and on time all Black Belts will be assigned for judging and refereeing. With your help the tournament will be run fairly and on time. Officials must be in proper attire; Blue dress pants, white shirt, blue tie, and white shoes. Or an official ITF Dobok. All competitors must wear the official ITF Dobok and ITF crest. Sparring gear is mandatory, hand, foot, headgear, a mouth guard and groin protection. You will not be allowed to compete without the proper gear. Black belts must present their ITF mini Certificate at the weigh in. Instructors please send one check along with your students applications by no later than March 12, 2008. We hope you will extend your trip to enjoy Kamloops as well and the many attractions Kamloops has to offer. Our Host Hotel is the comfort Inn and suites just a few minutes drive to the tournament venue. On behalf of the Thompson Valley Taekwon-Do Schools and the City of Kamloops we wish all of the competitors the best of luck, and to the Instructors, Masters and Families a warm and welcome stay here in Kamloops.
